The Catalan Youth Agency of the Government of Catalonia presents the Art Jove call for proposals to develop projects within the Sala d’Art Jove throughout 2016.
There are two different sections:
(A) ART JOVE PRIZES FOR PRODUCTION
(B) ART JOVE FELLOWSHIPS FOR MEDIATION
The first prize is targeted at the production of creation projects in the visual arts, while the second is devoted to testing mediation processes. Each section is, in turn, divided into two areas of action: Residency Projects and Cooperation Projects.
This call for proposals is supported by MACBA Contemporary Art Museum of Barcelona; Bòlit, Contemporary Art Centre. Girona; La Panera Art Centre; ACVIC. Centre of Contemporary Arts; National Art Museum of Catalonia; Lo Pati Art Centre in Terres de l’Ebre; and Hangar Visual Arts Production Centre.
(A) ART JOVE PRIZES FOR PRODUCTION
Residency Projects. Creation category:
A maximum of 10 proposal will be chosen.
Prize money: €800 per proposal.
Cooperation projects. Research category:
A maximum of 2 proposal will be chosen.
Prize money: €800 per proposal.
The projects chosen in this category must be produced in conjunction with MACBA, Museu d’Art Contemporani de Barcelona.
Cooperation projects. Publication category:
A maximum of 2 proposal will be chosen.
Prize money: €1,500 per proposal.
The projects chosen in this category must be produced in conjunction with Centre d'Art La Panera de Lleida.
Cooperation projects. Action category:
A maximum of one proposal will be chosen.
Prize money: €1,200 per proposal.
The projects chosen in this category must be produced in conjunction with El Bòlit, Contemporary Art Centre. Girona.
Cooperation projects. Nature and landscape intervention category:
A maximum of 1 proposal will be chosen.
Prize money: €1,200 per proposal.
The projects chosen in this category must be produced in conjunction with Lo Pati Centre d'Art Terres de l'Ebre.
Cooperation projects. Museums and heritage intervention category:
A maximum of 1 proposal will be chosen.
Prize money: €1,200 per proposal.
The projects chosen in this category must be produced in conjunction with Museu Nacional d’Art de Catalunya.
(B) ART JOVE FELLOWSHIPS FOR MEDIATION
Mediation projects in residency:
A maximum of 2 proposal will be chosen.
Prize money: €1,800 per proposal.
Proposals to join the team that designs and develops the programming of the Sala d’Art Jove during the 2016 season.
Education projects:
A maximum of 2 proposal will be chosen.
Prize money: €1,200 per proposal.
The projects chosen in this category must be produced in conjunction with ACVIC, Centre d’Arts Contemporànies.
