Sala d'Art Jove

The Catalan Youth Agency of the Government of Catalonia presents the Art Jove calls for proposals to develop projects within the framework of the Sala d’Art Jove throughout 2017.

These calls for proposals are supported by: MACBA Museu d’Art Contemporani de Barcelona; Centre d’Art la Panera; ACVIC. Centre d’Arts Contemporànies; Museu Nacional d’Art de Catalunya; Lo Pati Centre d’Art de les Terres de l’Ebre; Hangar Centre de Producció d’Arts Visuals and Hoger Instituut voor Schone Kunsten (HISK)  Ghent, Belgium.

ART JOVE PRIZES FOR PRODUCTION

 
Creation:
A maximum of 10 proposals will be chosen.
Prize money: €900 per proposal.
 
Research:
A maximum of 2 proposals will be chosen.
Prize money: €900 per proposal.
The projects chosen in this category must be produced in conjunction with the MACBA Contemporary Art Museum of Barcelona.
 
Publication:
A maximum of 2 proposals will be chosen.
Prize money: €1,500 per proposal.
The projects chosen in this category must be produced in conjunction with La Panera Art Centre.
 
Nature and landscape intervention:
A maximum of 1 proposal will be chosen.
Prize money: €1,200.
The project chosen in this category must be produced in conjunction with Lo Pati Art Centre in Terres de l’Ebre.
 
Museums and heritage intervention:
A maximum of 1 proposal will be chosen.
Prize money: €1,200.
The project chosen in this category must be produced in conjunction with the National Art Museum of Catalonia.
 
ART JOVE FELLOWSHIPS FOR MEDIATION
 
Mediation in residency:
A maximum of 2 individuals or groups will be chosen to make up the Art Jove 2017 mediation team.
Fellowship prize money: €1,800 per proposal.
Proposals to join the team that designs and develops the programming of the Sala d’Art Jove during the 2017 season.
 
Education:
A maximum of 2 proposals will be chosen.
Prize money: €1,200 per proposal.
The projects chosen in this category will have the support of ACVIC, Centre of Contemporary Arts.
 
ART JOVE FELLOWSHIPS FOR INTERNATIONAL EXCHANGE
A maximum of two people will be chosen.
Prize money: €1,200 (plus accommodation and a workshop space in HISK)

Hiuwai Chu, curator of the exhibition department of MACBA.
Fito Conesa, visual artist and director of Habitació 1418.
Tanit Plana, photographer and image instructor.
Oriol Vilanova, artist.
Txuma Sánchez, member of the management team of Sala d’Art Jove.
 
President of the jury: Àngels Piedrola, Director of Programmes at PNJCat.
Secretary: Marta Vilardell, culture expert at that Catalan Youth Agency.
